The Historical Room Typhoon is a small museum dedicated to Volkel Air Base. The museum is located on the air base itself and tells the history of Volkel Air Base, from Fliegerhorst to the air base it is now.

The association Starfighter’s Friends was established on January 16, 2003. The association’s goal is to take care of Starfighter History in Norway and support the work of safeguarding and operating CF-104D, 637. They succeeded in getting a retired Norwegian Starfighter in the air again and by doing so they own the only flying Starfighter in Europe, at the moment.
